The Billing and Collections Department is responsible for all aspects of a medical billing and collections functions:
- Making sure charges are keyed in a timely fashion.
- Posting insurance and patient payments.
- Following up on outstanding accounts receivables.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Professional and caring attitude is a must! Prior experience answering incoming telephone calls in a medical practice or addiction treatment center environment is a plus.
2+ years’ experience in the Behavioral Health and/or medical Industry (preferred but not required)

- Review and completes admission documents that may remain after admission process.
- Complete patient orientation and reviews patient handbook.
- Assists with direct patient care procedures and related tasks; assists in obtaining pertinent patient information; takes and records vital signs; prepares charts; and assists with carrying out Attending Physician orders.
- Specimen collection: Urine drug screening; Performs routine urine drug screens for Point of Care or confirmation laboratory tests, including phlebotomy (when necessary) for the collection of blood and urine for external lab analysis.
- Ensures patient’s EMR is current and that system is updated throughout the patient’s visit.
- Schedules and monitors patient appointments as required; may coordinate routine office activities and administrative functions in support of unit activities.
- Takes and responds to triage calls and forwards to attending physician as appropriate.
- Requests and tracks labs, diagnostic testing and referrals.
- Interacts with pharmacies as directed by the attending physician.
- Demonstrates good customer service and interpersonal relations with team mates.
- Ensures all duties and compliance logs are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure self-report pre-assessments are done and assists patients in completing as needed.
- Obtain monthly self-report re-assessment measures.
- Schedule initial therapy sessions and reschedules missed bio-psych sessions for clinical staff.
- Confirm all scheduled admission bio-psych appointments with patients the day prior.
- Provide administrative support to the team as needed or requested.
- Collaborate with outside agencies to obtain collateral information that may be requested by providers.
- Assist Collaborative Care Coordinators in preparing reports and status updates as necessary to drug courts, referral sources, and other agencies where we have an obligation to report.
- Assist patients in completing applications and registration forms and securing appointments for external services requested by members of the team.
- Follow up on referral requests as directed by the treatment team.
- Provide ongoing follow-up and positive communication with patients via phone calls and telemedical video conferencing.
- Request exit interviews and feedback from patients upon DC.
- Document all contact in the electronic health record or other database(s) within 24 hours or as directed by the Director of CCC or Clinical Director.
- Attend regular staff meetings, trainings, and meetings as directed.
- Exhibit excellent working relationships with patients, staff, visitors, and anyone who comes in contact with iRecovery; effectively projecting the mission and vision.
Education and Experience:
Education:
- Education: High School Degree or GED·
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field, or student in good standing in a psychology or related program not required, but a plus.
- Experience: Minimum one to three years of related experience– preferably in a Medical Office, Addiction Medicine, or Substance Abuse facility
Skills:
- Understanding of basic video conferencing, internet technology, and electronic tools for interfacing with remote patients to obtain signatures and completed appropriate forms
- Must be able to utilize computers and various software programs such as: Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, EMR.
- Proficiency in utilizing computer-based programs/software and internet-based technology.
- Professional presentation and communication skills. Well organized, outgoing individual with excellent time management, reporting and writing skills.

Job Title: Licensed Mental Health Therapist (Florida LCSW or LMHC)
iRecovery, is seeking additional Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) and Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC) for part-time or full-time positions.
Position Summary:
This position evaluates and treats patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders in relation to substance use. iRecovery is seeking to contract Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Licensed Mental Health Counselors to provide therapy services to our patients via our secure HIPPA compliant telemedicine portal. Work the hours you prefer from the comfort of your home or personal office.
Job Description/Essential Functions:
- Mental health and substance use disorder counseling.
- Provides supportive counseling, behavioral counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, and other forms of therapy.
- Provides therapeutic services throughout the course of treatment from admission through discharge and follow-up services.
- Communicate on an ongoing basis with medical providers and participate in team conferences.
- Address relapse and prevention.
- Maintain strong therapeutic alliance with patients.
- Maintain working knowledge of non-methadone Medication Assisted Treatments (MAT) and provide supportive counseling to patients under such care.
- Working towards treatment goals and objectives and updating treatment plans accordingly.
- Consult with interdisciplinary team members as appropriate.
- Remain up to date and compliant with internal training requirements.
Education and Experience:
Education: Requires a master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field by an accredited university.
Experience: Minimum three years of experience in substance use disorder and/or behavioral health treatment; preferably in a Therapy practice, Addiction Medicine, or Substance Abuse facility.
Licensure: Must hold a license as an LCSW or LMHC in the state of Florida.
Credentialing: Providers must be willing to become credentialed with various insurance carriers and payers. Current credentialing with Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurers is a plus.
Special Training: Must be proficient in providing clear documentation and progress notes utilizing an EMR. Working knowledge and experience utilizing teletherapy is a plus, but we will provide training.
Certifications: CAP is not required, but a plus.
Skills:
Advanced knowledge in regard to functions of a therapist in a medical and/or substance disorder outpatient treatment setting. Well organized, outgoing individual with excellent time management, rapport building, and writing skills.
